The idea

Al Bentley Founder & CEO Born out of frustration with poor quality tools and inaccesibility to data; Al, then a Naval Architect in Western Australia, put his teenage coding skills to work and started to form a solution that would begin to level the playing field for the everyday retail investor.

The launch

After pitching the idea at a startup event, initial funding was secured and Simply Wall St was born. Initially providing stock reports for free, the tool was fast being noticed by retail investors that had been pining out for a simple solution to cut through the noise of financial markets.

Today

Remaining obsessed with the customer problem continues to steer Simply Wall St to improve the product and build better solutions. At present Simply Wall St now services over 5 million registered users in 170 countries and covers 150,000 stocks in 95 global markets.

Tomorrow

Success has not only caught the eye of investors but also to a new wave of talent joining the Simply Wall St family. The surface has only been scratched on solving some of the biggest investment problems and also getting ourselves in front of the entire investment community that share the same frustrations.

Coupled with a new generation of investors and an increased interest in financial markets, Simply Wall St is both excited and ready for the next chapter in our journey.
